“Non-Personally Identifiable Information” refers to information that, by itself or in combination with other information, does not identify a specific individual. This information is used to analyze and improve our Website, provide our customers with a fulfilling shopping experience, and personalize the Website, our communications with you and your shopping experience.

We also provide you with the option of unsubscribing from promotional emails from HSC. Any promotional email and newsletter that we send to you will contain an option to unsubscribe at the bottom of the email. Simply follow the indications in the email to unsubscribe from further promotional emails from HSC.
HSC also allows you to signup and login using your social media account (e.g., Facebook). If you connect to the App using your social media credentials, you authorize us to collect your authentication information, such as your username, password and encrypted access credentials. If you sign up using a social media account, the social media platform will ask your permission to share certain information from your account with HSC, such as your friends list. You can control the information that we receive from your social media account by accessing its relevant privacy settings.
If you sign up with HSC using a social media account, your HSC account will be connected automatically to your social media account, and information regarding your activity on HSC (e.g., recipes you favorite) may be shared with your social media friends list and published in your timeline. If you do not wish to share your HSC activity with your social media community, you can control this from the App’s “Settings” feature.
Our Website and App may offer links to other websites, including links embedded in advertisements and links to various news sources that are not under the control of HSC. Such links to other websites may have information policies and practices different from ours. We do not own or control such companies and websites and are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices or the content of websites that we do not own or control. We encourage you to read about the privacy practices of those third parties.
California law permits California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, information about the Personally Identifiable Information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. This information would include a list of the categories of Personally Identifiable Information (e.g., name and email address) that was shared and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared information in the preceding calendar year. As discussed above, we may share your Personally Identifiable Information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. In addition, under California law, website operators are required to disclose how they respond to web browser “do not track” signals or other similar mechanisms that provide consumers with the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of Personally Identifiable Information of a consumer over time and across third party websites and apps, to the extent the operator engages in that collection. At this time, we do not track our customers’ Personally Identifiable Information over time and across third-party websites and apps. This law also requires website and app operators to disclose whether third parties may collect Personally Identifiable Information about their users’ online activities over time and across different websites and apps when the users use the operator’s website or app. We do not knowingly permit third parties to collect Personally Identifiable Information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across different websites and apps when a consumer uses our Website and App.
